Short haul for zincs and thru hull installation

Hauled 'er out to install a through hull and new zincs.

Note to self about thru hulls. Mount it first using the thru hull having cut it to the appropriate the length. This way it is stable while the bolt holes are drilled through the base plate. If I had done it that way we would have avoided a double dip so as to add more 5200 to the one bolt hole that was a bit sloppy.
The mistake was drilling a bolt hole with the thru hull installed but very loose.

RCYC Chicken Bake

Weekend of 9/22
Took a break from all the bilge work and motored up to the Ravena Coeymans Yacht Club for their chicken bake. The beer started on Friday around 5PM and didn't stop until Sunday but we stayed away from it on Sunday since we had to move the boat back to the Rondout Yacht Basin.
The folks up there really know how to handle a crowd since they had over 75 boats and 300 people to take care of for a weekend.

Upgrades (Water maker)

Working on the desalinator. Today I was finally able to fire it up although we are still in fresh water. The model we settled on is a Village Marine LWM300 modular since we wanted to get the production rate up there a bit, and the modular aspect allowed me to squeeze it into the bilge over the water heater.
So far so good, and the dissolved solids was around 1 ppm vs. 150 for the city water coming into the boat.
However with all of the missing solids, the water tastes off a bit. No salts at all makes it kind of bland.
I'm thinking that it will work fine as ice in a strawbery daquiri. Soon enough the boat comes out for inspection, some zincs and a new thru hull.
